Just before I sewed the seam together that the boning was to be in I read my sewing book on welt seams, and did it a little differently from the book. I found a different way to put the seams together. I then layed out the fabric for my dress, I cut out all pieces except 2 (sleeves ,and flounce)

Feb 17/ 07

Today stitched up my corset seams now i have to put in the boning around the seams holding the corset together. the back fastener I put in the boning two pieces each side. I had a little problem with drafting the pattern itself since the hip measurement on me is 85 to 86cm and her lowest is 90cm so I have done the fake corset pattern in the 90 cm *(another short problem is that I don't usually use metric system)I will draft a second one later on closer to my size, I'm taking a bit of a risk on this one ,so as soon as I can get the bones (metal or plastic) and the eyelets and the front fasteners, will buy 2 sets of everything so that I can make two corsets the fake one and the finished one.
